So 2014 got some options from Europe/Japan... maybe 2015 IS will too? Talking about power trunk opener for instance and power folding mirrors.

great upgrades...!

Climate Concierge like the LS. Nice.
Oddly enough the LS doesn't have S-Flow but the GS does (the only Lexus model) |
Siri integration! That's a big one! Does anyone know if it's a first, or has any other car of any make already had it?
Hopefully the upcoming trackpad-driven UI has design input from Apple too. |

Hopefully the upcoming trackpad-driven UI has design input from Apple too. http://translogic.aolautos.com/2012/...tion-google-l/ Apple has already lined up BMW, General Motors, Mercedes, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi, Toyota/Lexus, Chrysler and Honda to make in-car Siri support a reality within the next 12 months |
GS450h changes:
Transmission Sport mode now provides eight steps, rather than six, and also adds a kickdown switch |

All the new features are not a big deal to me except for the power folding mirrors.

makes sense. I've been wondering why other Lexus's with the CVT don't have "8" pre done ratio's

kick down switch is interesting, probably going to give you better feel for acceleration.

Yes, the way I understand it is that the kickdown mode will make the (e-)CVT feel like conventional automatics, with fixed ratios just like the manual mode, but with automated shifting.

also, missed:
