How much did that run you, just curious???

I've been thinking about picking up a Miata for a good while now. I'd love an S2000, but only thing you can find in my $5-8k budget is ragged out/wrecked/stupid high mileage pieces of junk.

They wanted 24, I offered them 20, we settled on 20,995 out the door, which was cool for me because that was the exact price of the Sazuka Blue '06 with 24k & a hard top that was bought out from under me at a different dealer(because I procrastinated over a weekend, not due to any misdeeds by the dealer).

I feel you on the budget. I wanted an 06+ in just 2 specific colors wth less than 30k miles around 20k (to keep the loan term as short as possible), and there was literally nothing "close". I expanded my search area and price range figuring that I could negotiate down to what I wanted to my price point, and got lucky. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get this one and would have driven 7 to get the other one. Color seems to play a big role in pricing, because there are silver and grey cars with less than 50k going for low-mid teens. Definitely wish you luck in your search. Jump on it immediately when you find it.

Thank you much sir.

Is the increase in pricing due to the Supra phenomenon (where unadulterated, low mileage examples are in demand but becoming more rare)?

ohhh, they're there...just all crammed around the steering wheel...

obviously not my car

...although they did seem to play a game of "how can we possibly place things in the most creative locations possible", like the obscure location of the gas tank lid release...

Congrats! Shame you waited till the end of summer for a car like this

You should have a good experience though as long as you have this

Thank you.

"End of Summer" temps here. I'll have through late January to enjoy top down motoring, and even then my only constraint will be to avoid the few days with freezing rain

My only point of contention is that the the top of the windshield/visors obstructs my view of the signal when legally stopped at overhead hanging traffic lights. I'll obtain a pair of low mount seat rails to remedy this asap

Congrats, nice car, good luck with it. And if I was there I would toss in some coins and tie a dollar bill to the "oh ****" handles!

basically just supply and demand. car is discontinued, one hell of a solid car, great engine and tranny, last forever, and yes, clean examples are getting rarer and rarer

it's basically following the trail of nsx, prices keep on going up
