Why do we still care about spy shots?

Not feeling the sound of the next m3/m4. Sounds someone strapped on a fart can.

Interestingly someone caught a video of the Lexus RC-F prototype driving past the BMW M4 prototype on the Nurburgring ( see beginning of this video):

Poor M4.

Not yet fully formed/properly introduced to the world and already it has encountered its nemesis and agent of its destruction, the car that will kick it off its perch as best driving compact luxury coupe in the world : The Lexus RC-F.

Years from now, automotive historians will immortalize 0:02 of this video as a symbolic changing of the guard. When one Ultimate Driving Machine ( BMW M4) got shoved kicking and screaming into irrelevance by another more Ultimate Driving Machine ( Lexus RC-F).

I was under the impression that yellowish one is still a "concept" albeit 99% done

My friend is already locked into buying the next M4. On a $160k salary.

Do you mean he ordered one already? What was your point about his salary?

Moderately high salary doesn't bring discernment?

Buying a car without a test-drive doesn't seem wise in the slightest. And at 160K at year, his friend is just well-off and not in the "cash-to-burn" bracket to be able to pull off such a impulse buy.

In the same bracket, but rolling in a Prius and FR-S. Equally, did not test drive either before purchase
