^^ pretty neat. Shame that something like that will be watered down come production time :/

Once they offer it with an AWD trim level and ditch the CVT in that trim level for a dual-clutch auto-manual I won't care if it looks fantastic or ugly. Until then, all the looks in the world can't make me care about the Maxima. I've driven a new one with the CVT and once was enough.

^^ Truth. If it had AWD or a manual tranny (or heaven forbid, both), I'd probably be driving a Maxima right now. I just can't abide FWD autos.

I hear ya. But Maxima will always be FWD lest it blur the lines with some Infiniti models.

Looks interesting and like it might again look better then the Infiniti G37/Q. The current Maxima is one of the better sedan designs out and I find it much better looking to the G37 though the interior is not very good and has some obvious cost cutting.

absolutely looks like the next Maxima. When you consider how old the current gen Maxima is I would say it over due. You can tell from the size and brake lights that its in the correct segment

Latest Maxima came out as a 2009 model so I wouldn't say over due (as its on pace with the industry), but it's ready for a redesign

Yes it is due. However, it has aged extremely well. It still looks better or as up-to date as many other more recent designs.

09 model years means they hit the streets in 08. We are almost to 2014.

Doesnt seem like the current gen did very well. I dont see them but when I do see them loaded they look pretty good. I just think a "sports sedan" should be RWD. I am assuming thats what kill it on top of its price when loaded. Might as well get a G37

I agree, the current design looks great inside and out, aged well. Sold well, drives well. Overall a really good car.

To be honest I really like the Nissan sedans Sentra, Altima, Maxima and the Q50, well done to me. The Sentra to me is really nice for a small car with LEDs to boot.
