Nothing wrong with the Town Car. Might as well throw the DTS on the list if they're gonna call it "gramps".
Also I thought the quirky Subaru Baja was kinda cool.
The only ones I wouldn't be caught dead in (though I have driven them from trade in before)
are the Murano Converitble, HHR, PT Cruiser, Beetle and Smart ForTwo

I wouldn't mind driving or even owning most of those cars. The Chevy SSR is actually a pretty cool looking vehicle. The only cars I wouldn't drive is the Muano vert, smart, beetle, and PT Cruiser vert. Just not my taste.

I like the Chevy SSR too - although it's probably the most impractical vehicle ever built. An underpowered two-seat, small bed, pickup-convertible. Well, it's not for everyone. But I see possibilities in there. Outstanding body shape that harks back to the early '50's Chevys with the chop-channel-and section work already done. Nice hardtop convertible mechanism, and as far as hauling capacity is concerned, you weren't REALLY going to haul manure for the garden or plumbing supplies in there anyway, were you?
The installation of a 6L 395 hp V8 (shared with the Silverado, GTO and 'Vette) in 2005 finally gave it enough grunt to haul the overweight body on frame structure in fine style, and any home tinkerer can do even more wonders with that basic engine. It even sounds like the old 396 Chevelle "Porcupine". As it is, it's a pretty nice cruiser for the weekends. With a few hot rod touches here and there, a few interior upgrades, and custom paint, it can be a stellar attraction at the monthly cruises to the local drive-in.

100% Agree on the PT Cruiser, HHR, Aztek, and Smart car.
As for the Hummer H2, I kind of have a love/hate relationship. They can look cool with the right mods, ie tone it down, big knobby tires, big black off-road bumpers. They look retarded in loud colors with 30" chrome wheels and extra chrome bits on them.
Another car, or maybe class of car they didn't mention was a newer model Chevy Aveo, Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, etc, etc, etc. Nothing screams I'm a cheap bastard who has given up on life more than those types of cars. IMO the newer and cleaner it is, the worse. It means you're actually making payments on that **** sandwich.

My Father in Law loves the hell out of his Murano CrossCab. When he was shopping, his priorities were: 1) Roof must come down, and 2) Should seat 4 adults comfortably. After looking at just about every convertible under $100k, it was one of the few that could even pretend to hold 4 adults, and the only one that could be called comfortable. And it is CRAZY comfortable. Rear seat is roomier, better supported, and more comfortable overall than my wife's RX350. It's also REALLY quiet as convertibles go.
The looks may not be for everyone, but it's a fantastic car.
