Sorry to thread jack... Back to Topic at hand... STARTINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG..... NOW!
LOL I stand corrected BUT he is thin as hell. I am 6'5" and about 315 pounds. I wouldnt even try to get in that thing. My friend actually has a yellow elise about 10 years ago and I just laughed when he said lets go for a ride. The other thing is that the elise and exige dont have consoles so there is room to open up your long legs. When I was in college I drove a civic (1986) and my friends used to always wonder how I fit in it with my buddy who was also 6'5" but weighed about about 40 lbs more

The LS430 has the same sort of look going on as well.

Go read on the LS430 boards, there isn't much that goes wrong with these cars. Just avoid the top of the line model that has air suspension and the fancy self closing door option and I think you would be good to go. Really you don't need to take it to the dealer for service, most shops that work on Toyota would be glad to service it for you. Also check and see when the timing belt was last replaced, as that is about a $1000 bill for that job. Honestly I don't think your repair bills would be any different than if you owned an ES or GS from that era.
I know those LSs are extremely reliable and wouldn't have to worry too much but it still isn't ideal as far as the maintenance costs go. Actually I remember calling Lexus once in the Service Department and asked them to compare a GS to an LS for Timing belt and they said $581 for the GS and $740 for the LS. That's with labor and parts included. The brake pads were $345 for the GS and $404 for the LS. Not terrible I suppose. I'll check that out again.

Today I am actually going to check out a 2003 Highlander. Later I am going to check out a 2004 RX 330 as well. I know they're SUVs but maybe those will be the best choices for me.

Any other car suggestions?

OK...if you and he can get in and out of an Elise with relative ease, fine. But I remember reviewing and test-driving one back in 2007. I'm 6' 2" and quite heavy (275 lbs).....and the Elise, hands-down, was THE toughest car to get in out of I've ever sampled (including the diminuitive MG Midget of the 1960s). It took me a good 20 minutes to figure out a reasonable way in (I won't bother with the details how) ....and a good 10 minutes getting out. If that car had caught fire or I had to get out quickly for any reason, I would have been up **** creek.

Shaq is also doing TV spots inside a Buick LaCrosse, though the seatback is noticeably reclined, and he seems to have his big legs wrapped somewhat around the steering wheel.

The SMART, BTW, has a surprisingly high roofline, but its narrowness and shortness makes it unstable-handling and prone to fore/aft tilting like a kid's rocking-horse.

I am 6'5" with a longer torso. Simply put, none of the Lexus line fits me. I was so hoping a RX was going to be something to drive home, but it was a no-go. I need at LEAST 40 inches of front headroom.

The RX door frame is a few inches below the inside. That alone was a funny sight for getting in. Then, even with the seat all the way down, the sunroof was right on my head.
Only option was to tilt the front seat back so it was a few inches from the rear.

Sorry, folks, this ends my Lexus experience as it seems.

All the best - it's a fine product line.

I'm 6'10 and find that the 2014 Highlander has the most headroom of any vehicle I've ever seen when the power seats are lowered all the way.

Audis have quite good headroom. Try out an A4 or A6.

Also, the moonroof delete can add an inch to any car.
