I like this design on the front. Very aggressive and unexpected. The rear is okay, though I'd still prefer it rounded off similar to the RX300, but definitely several steps up in the design over the previous generation.
Completely agree. If the exterior to 4th-generation RX is similar to the what is shown here, I would have to seriously consider it.

Man, I hope that's not the next RX. It's back-dated, with the jumbled rear side window like the last gen RX had. The current model cleaned all that mess up, now they are going back to it? Makes no sense.

I think we should change the name of this thread, as we've been able to debunk the poor Autoblog reporting. (not the first, and won't be the last time)

Of course it isn't.

In Japan, both Lexus RX and Toyota Harrier are sold. They may have some similarities (i.e. platform or whatever)....but these are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VEHICLES NOW

That's all

i do hope they put European front on it and sell it here as larger than Rav4 option... it would probably sell well (as Highlander is too utilitarian for Europe).

They have to have Harrier back as Lexus's are sooo expensive in Japan, there is huge difference in pricing.

well, that's autoblog reporting, not 'this thread', but yes, the 'news' seems to be inaccurate. i changed the thread title.

but don't harrier, rx, and highlander all share the same platform?

It's this sort of biased reporting in the media that will make it hard for Lexus to become #1 globally. Meanwhile the media makes it so easy for the Germans to keep rising. But anyway it's great that Lexus with Toyoda at the helm will just try to just focus on making great cars. Let the cars speak for themselves and let the haters hate.

I don't see this happening. BMW and MBZ dominate the markets outside the States. Plus I could care less about Lexus being #1. I'd rather they put their money into purchasing nicer cabin materials especially for the IS and ES

Exactly and people reposting with ulterior motives.

This thread makes no sense period to enthusiasts.
