I saw the new S Class in the flesh this morning at the Mercedes Benz brand store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. It is a very very good looking car.

Oven ever liked the look of S class models, but I could see myself owning one of these S63 AMG models. They need to replace the transmission though - its really very poor. They should have used a Getrag DCT like the one in the M5 or the SLS.

Does anyone know if Mercedes has discovered HUD yet?

as far as I know, no HUD option on the S class. I have the dealer order guide for US models.

RXSF, thanks so much for posting that doc! wow - that is an amazing level of options and customization. sure if costs a pile, but a big part of LUXURY is getting what you want, not just 2 or 3 packages.

Honestly, if I could afford a car like that, I'd be afraid to drive it. It's like a freaking museum, with all the craftsmanship and expensive materials. I wouldn't wanna put my filthy boots on that carpet and touch anything with my clumsy fingers.
