(jump ahead to 7:30 for 400K spot and to see the car in it's current form).
Posted here before at earlier milestones and now at 400K in only 3 1/2 years.
He's a medical courier if anyone's curious. Drives a good 10 hours a day highway.
The car has had almost no problems or repairs. Just an alternator.

kno the guy personally...car is modded and all, definitely great Toyota reliability at hand.
Last milestone, 300k, he had most the original parts from purchasing the car. I think all he changed was the drive belt, plugs, oil, and other minor aspects. I believe he was on original clutch and brake pads as well...

He's got lowered suspension, 17" alloys with low profile performance tires, and other performance mods. It's actually quite smooth and stable at those speeds.

Yaris is a nice car, but not for me as well as Och, modified or not, would be interesting to see if a Camry or GS could do this mileage and be as trouble free.
edit: nice clean car except for that double spoiler on the trunk lid

I just got back from a vacation and rented a 2010 Chevy Aveo hatchback (unfortunately their only subcompact available). Wow, I didn't realize my Yaris was such a tank. Seriously, you want a tin can, the Aveo is it. And I only achieved 27 mpg under the same conditions that yield me 40 in the Yaris. My Yaris feels twice as substantial, isolates road noise twice as good, and handles twice as good. I'm not exaggerating.
I regularly drive 80 mph with the flow of traffic in the Yaris and it is totally comfortable, stable, quite, and smooth. It's not a tin can micro machine some make it out to be. It's the same size of the last gen Corolla and much more solid. It's not a Geo Metro.
Is it a full size Lexus? No. But some of us actually don't want a full size Lexus.

It's amazing the cultural difference. Americans still feel they need big cars. And that's fine if that's what you want. I'm all about total freedom of choice. You want a Hummer, go for it. You're just going to pay for it.
I regularly carry 4 6-footers in my Yaris with room to spare. Yes, you'd be surprised.

Yeah, last I checked, the Yaris was the #1 Toyota in Europe.
