I test drove a new Miata a few weeks ago. My late wife had a NA (92) back in the mid-90s and it was lots of fun to toss about. The new one felt pretty similar, but they moved the clutch and brake pedals to the left, probably a reaction to unintended acceleration fears. I couldn't rest my left foot on the dead pedal without getting it jammed between the clutch and side wall. The sales manager even commented that he can't drive a Miata with some of his shoes.
