Looks like they've canceled the ILX Hybrid.

2015 ILX Offers Two Powertrain Options plus Premium Features on Acura’s Gateway Luxury Sports Sedan

The feature-packed ILX offerings, including an exhilarating 2.4-liter, 6-speed manual pairing and a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter automatic, provide the Acura experience to entry luxury customers

Honda/Acura should be using the Accord's actual Hybrid system instead of that IMA crap

Default 2015 Acura ILX Hybrid Cancelled In US, Continues In Canada

Any Americans who miss the ILX Hybrid are welcome to cross the border to buy one of ours!

While Americans will only get two engine options, Canadians will still be able to opt for the hybrid model

When Acura replaced their CSX model with the new, larger ILX, the Japanese manufacturer also decided to add a hybrid option to the mix.

In the lower 48, the electrified option hasn’t been doing well (not that the ILX is a stellar sales performer in general) and Acura has decided to cancel the hybrid offering.

In Canada, the 2015 Acura ILX seems to still have a future.

When asked by email about Acura possibly cancelling the model here as well, Maki Inoue, head of public relations for Honda Canada, stated plainly, “We will sell the 2015 ILX Hybrid in Canada.”

This continues a tradition of Canada-only models from Honda’s luxury brand.

When Acura sold the EL and CSX models in Canada, which were redesigned Honda Civics for the most part, the compact models were not sold in the United States.

Default Acura quietly kills the ILX Hybrid

Company cites weak demand

Acura has unveiled the 2015 ILX.
Set to go on sale on June 18th, the 2015 model closely echoes its predecessor as the Modern Steel Metallic exterior replaces the previous Polished Metal Metallic paint job.

Under the hood, there's bigger changes as the company has quietly dropped the hybrid variant which featured a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor and a 144 volt lithium-ion battery. This enabled the sedan to have a combined output of just 111 bhp (82 kW) and 127 lb-ft (172 Nm) of torque.

For comparison, the entry-level ILX has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 150 bhp (112 kW) and 140 lb-ft (190 Nm) of torque. While this is significantly more than the hybrid variant, American Honda executive vice president John Mendel has previously said this particular engine is "underpowered and consumers don't see the value [in it]."

Regardless, the 2015 ILX will be priced from $27,050 excluding a destination charge of $895.

You would think, right?
It'll probably be years before the ILX uses the new system, if at all. Remember the original Accord hybrid? They cancelled that as well when it wasn't selling great. Of course it had a V6 instead of a 4 cylinder and wasn't very fuel efficient for a hybrid. So instead of replacing it with a more efficient option, they just went and cancelled it. Same thing here.

I can see them trying again in a few years. They'll phase out the IMA eventually but we know how long Honda loves to hold on to old tech. 5-Speed AT anyone

If Honda killed off Acura maybe that would boost Lexus sales a bit, no?

And I mean what I say about a better interior and lower road noise. In a couple of months the new Buick Verano compact will be out, and, while I have not had a chance to see or review one, press reviewers who have driven it say it has (by compact standards) ultra-plushness inside and rides with the silence of King Tut's tomb. If Acura wants to compete in this new (and upcoming area) of compact-luxury, it can't be producing Civic-clones.
I leased one traded for a new 2014 ES350. ILX had great MPG and handled well but felt just a little to small and bad road noise. Love the new ES350
