The funny things is that, under that surface glitz and the real wood on the steering wheel, the Lacrosse, (Buick's sedan flagship) actually has one of the worst Buick interiors for the old-style El Cheapo plastic. Much of the interior and controls has a lightweight feel to it. Other Buicks, though, especially the Regal, Verano, and the new Encore, perhaps because they borrow heavily from German-designed Opels, use noticeably better and more durable-feeling materials inside. That was one thing (among many) that sold me on the Verano.
