Lots of Geico fans here, but they weren't particularly competitive in my locale.

Anyone insure with Wawanesa? They are quite possibly among the lowest cost providers, but have very tough underwriting standards. I always do a package deal; home + auto, and Wawanesa declined homeowners due to the proximity of "brush." Yeah, about 1 mile away and no other provider had this issue. Many years ago they also declined my automotive policy request as my under-18 sister lived with me; she "might" borrow the car, thus they weren't going to insure me.

 

I agree. I checked with them several years ago, when they were first advertising their huge discounts in IL. Their quote was exactally 2x what I was paying State Farm.
