Wow, that sounded like a nightmare! Hopefully you won't have the same problems with this one! Congrats again!

Wow, congratulations Andy.

I was wondering why you got rid of your other bmw so quick???
Doesn't surprise me since you go through cars like a kleenex

You sure have a lot of patience though to put up with car annoyances-I certainly don't.

Every time I think about going German I get reminded of the horror stories. Im sticking with the LS

Well, that's why I got a brand new one this time.

I think the old purchase was just plain out of luck because not a single other F01 owner I know has this many problem in one car, my old one was really a "lemon".

I used to be a believer of used cars purchase, since I can always them at a huge saving VS. new, but the truth is, you would never know what happened to it before. Anyway, no more preowned purchase from this point on, I will only get new cars.

Same here, you got fed up and go buy another identical car?

Not dissing, just talking out loud

Hopefully less miles and later model year make it a better car.

But in my opinion, all those problems you had was typical BMW design issue...........I guess age make it worst.

Good luck to you on this one.

SWB this time huh? I guess you realized you don't need the rear leg room?

LOL!

First model year BMW's are notorious for problems. But if you want to open this discussion our 750 has been more reliable than our previous RX.

May be because you haven't owned your 750 long enough, give it a few years and then tell us how reliable it could be.

LOL. Says the VW owner.

Point of the comment was that...like every discussion on reliability...individual commentary doesn't mean jack squat in the real world. Not every car is going to be bad and not every car is going to be good...no matter what marque you are referring to.

Statistically some are going to be better or worse across the brand. I know exactly what I get into, as I'm sure Andy does as well.In this case, I'll take the best driving car in the class, where others might choose ultimate luxury, while still others will select reliability. Drive whatever you feel like, but realize that there's a reason why every car isn't built targeting the same driver.

Thanks guys. The reason I got this car is despite all the issues, I still like driving the BMW. It puts smile on me every time I get in it. Part of the reason for me to change a new one is if I can afford a new one, why should I be still driving an used one with issues. I always entertaining ideas of getting another car, but in my price range the 7 fits me the best.
