Just think of what a tuned EVO could do to a stock mustang. The people who buy Mustangs will buy them because the power is good and they can still modify the car with ease.

Turbo 4 and V8 we know. The question remains will there be a middle child and will it be NA V6 or EcoBoost V6. Turbo 4 will make current NA V6 power so money is on an EcoBoost 6 to be a step up, but below the V8.
Another possibility and I pray not, is a turbo 4 in base, turbo 6 in GT, and V8 will be a Shelby only affair. Anything and everything is rumormill for awhile

i dont think it will be a bad deal, to be honest a lot of mustang enthusiasts and die-hards are willing to accept the current V6, turbo 6 will be acceptable as long as it can produce the same performance as the current NA V8

I have driven the old 4 cylinder Mustangs
, I hope they do a much better job.
Not sure I would trust a 300hp turbo 4 from Ford, they are having some power train problems in their newer cars. It is doubtful a turbo 4 pushing 300hp in a relatively heavy car like a Mustang is going to get better fuel economy or perform better then a well tuned V6, sounds like a lot of expense and complication just to get maybe 1 or 2 mpg more. CAFE regulations

I'll laugh since their new base turbo 4 is going to run circles around any 2 valve 4.6 and probably run neck and neck with the 3 valve 4.6(ie it will be faster than any 90's Mustang GT and probably pretty comparable to the 2006-2010 GT)

You know how people refer to someone as having "been around the block" to mean they're very experienced? Well, when it comes to automotive spy photography, Jim Dunne actually laid down the concrete slabs of the block's sidewalk. The unforgettable Dunne more or less invented the car spy game – a fact he cemented by writing book called Car Spy – and has been delivering spy shots and reporting on the industry for some 45 years now. (He also once employed this writer as his impromptu personal chauffer on a Volkswagen trip in Germany, while he slept, but that's a story for a different time.)
In any event, Dunne must be on a mission to prove that "elder statesman" doesn't also mean "washed up" as it is his shots of the upcoming new 2014 Ford Mustang that we've been handed by our friends at KGP Photography.
Mr. Dunne has likely spent the last few years obtaining powerful telescopic lenses, as the Ford in question has clearly been photographed from some distance. Nevertheless, what you see here is visual evidence that the sixth-generation Mustang has moved beyond the mule stage, and is now testing in proper prototype form. Sources indicate that there are production-spec body panels under that baggy canvass dress; but the slightly less bulky silhouette of the new car can be just made out. While the car's bumpers have been removed to obfuscate things, we can tell by way of the camo's apertures that the car's taillights have moved upwards and towards the lip of the tail. A fender vent appears to be visible, too, just behind the front wheel.

I love mustangs. Test drove a boss 302 6 months back and it's a great piece of work. Hopefully Ford will make it more driver friendly for shorter people with telescoping wheel and better seating position. When I finally adjusted my seat to a good driving position, I found that I couldn't get out of the car unless I slide the seat back again. Can't be doing this every time I drive the car. The camaro didn't have this issue but it wasn't as nice as the mustang as far as fit and finish goes IMO.

they should just make the mustang into a 2 seater. noone can fit COMFORTABLY in the back anyways
