I need to drop by at a local Hyundai dealer for scientific purposes .
I drove the 5.0L R, it is fabulous, especially for it's price. Go drive one and you would wish Lexus make a GS500.

I am at a stage of life where I am more appreciative to the overall balance as opposed to the raw muscularity of a daily driving car (if I want to go loco, I have a fun car whose equivalent in canine world would be to a Jack Russell, which is also a loyal companion of mine: I just think where I want to go and the car goes).

In not-to-long-ago test drives, I prefer Audi A6 2.0t Quattro to 3.0, Jaguar XF 2.4t to 3.0T.

I am thinking to drive the 3.8 as opposed to the 5.0R unless there is something more to the latter? Maybe I should be consistent and drive both. Local dealer only has the 3.8.

That is why they make different version, sounds like the GS350 F is what you want.

The 5.0R just got the big motor and tranny, everything else is the same with the 3.8, that is why it is cheap.

I have the GS350 non F Sport. Couldn't get pass the front bumper treatment and the additional premium for the features. But I am curious about the Genesis, I'll test drive it, anyway.

The Genesis is a lower quality cheap knock off of the GS, if you have a GS350 already, you won't like it. Hyundai offer lower refinement for a lower price. It is for people who want a GS but don't want to pay for it.
