That's great news for the new turbo application

I guess nissan's trademark ran out for the NX2000 or doesn't even apply b/c it's coupe and not a cuv?

IMO, Lexus has enough well balanced SUV's already. Adding a RAV-4 sized suv is really not needed. The RX is at a size that can go small to midsized. I already dont see a lot of Infinitis EX, BMW X3, or Mercedes GLK thingys on the roads meaning the market for it is not that great. Enough with the SUVs already, we have enough, and stick with the renewed coupe and sedan focus. Id rather see a 4-wheel drive CT turbo than a new NX. Just my opinion tho.

The smallish SUV's are selling like hotcakes this side of the pond....so Lexus offering something in this category can do wonders for their marketshare here...

The IX belongs to Hyundai ix20 and ix35 already unfortunately.

Yeah the trademark running out is probably the case.

In China, Australia and other parts of the world they get the RX 270 (four cylinder engine). I'm curious as to why Lexus doesn't bring it over to the U.S.? It would sell like hotcakes due to the price point.

RX 270
RX 350
RX 450h

Not really. Toyota tried it already with the introduction of the Sienna 2.7 and it's already getting discontinued next year due to very low take rate. Americans just don't buy low displacements, apparently.

they have it due to taxes being too big on V6's... otherwise, why in the world would you get 4cly RX? Nobody wanted to get Sienna 4cly so I doubt anyone would get slow **** RX. I wouldnt. That engine is not good enough for Lexus.

True that. I'd get either an RX 350 or the RX 450h as well.

maybe they will add RX300h though... due to electric motors, it should be a lot nicer drive than 2.7l But it probably wont be in US.

Now that I would probably get :-). 450h is crazy expensive here in Europe, both in RX and GS.

Its because you dont get any mpg gains from the 2.7 on the sienna and you get dramatically reduced performance.
