Very exciting to see. Assuming these are still prototypes, they look ready. Ideally the rebirth of the NSX will be the catalyst Acura needs similar to how the LFA was for Lexus. What Acura really needs is another coupe to slot below the NSX ala RSX-esque or something along those lines, preferably with SH-AWD this time around

I wish I could afford one, even if it was a used one 10 years later. Hahaha. It would be nice to have both in the garage.

I didn't like the NSX much when I first saw it. It looks so good lately with it being spotted around.

Well said. A halo car can change the way people see a brand. Acura/Honda have been boring cars for some time now. Bringing back a legendary car like the NSX and now a Civic Type R to the US means only good times coming for enthusiast as well as the brand.

i disagree with the comparison. the LFA did almost nothing for lexus in the market, except convincing the already convinced that toyota/lexus can build anything given enough time and money. the LFA was spectacular, but did almost nothing for the brand.

+1,
most people don't even know what the LFA is, where as they know the NSX, even if just to know that it was a Honda/Acura sport car.

Lexus should have had the LFA, coupled with an attainable sport coupe (~$80k-$100k) tied to the LFA & F brand and marketing. They squandered that opportunity, along with the opportunity to really capitalize of the F- brand by taking a hiatus from the IS-F when the 3IS was released. They released the 3IS early in Europe, they should have taken the opportunity to release a 3IS based IS-F in NA for that transition year between 2013 and 2014 model year. That would have given the 2014 3IS way more buzz, but most important, would have sealed the F brand in everyone's mind.
