Default Taste of Lexus events ? Where art thou?

Any word or rumor of these free events making a comeback? I cannot find a better subsititute for testing out the company's latest and their competition. Heck, it was one of these events that sold me on my car.

If only! lol Well, I don't think they would be too keen on allowing you to rotate the tail out while missing a curb by a few inces while at full throttle.
In all seriousness, these events were the best way to see what limits our cars have. And knowing such information can save a life in accident avoidance situations.

hah I hear ya.

But yeah personally I believe it's about the $$$. In recent years, our launch events have been pretty lame compared to years past. The 07 LS460 was one of the best I've been too. Driving, Hors d'œuvre, drinks, dinner, drinks, plush gifts, beautiful location. This 13' ES was so cheap (we had it at some sketchy location in Richmond and Alameda) not to mention the competition for the ES was a CTS and a C-Class . Why there was no TL, Lacrosse, or MKZ I'll have no idea. Shame.

Jaguar's alive events are awesome
just as good as taste of lexus if not better!

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/car...-of-lexus.html

in today's terrible economy, auto companies need a rich daddy to pay for such an exuberant event

Loved the Lexus events. Havent been to one since the LFA event a couple years back. Would love them to bring it back. I'm also attending the Jag event next month in Philly.

Lexus did the GS Performance Tour which were EXCELLENT Events Very similar to Taste of Lexus.

Great setup to test drive the GS against the competition MB E350 and BMW 535i, plus a timed course just for the GS.

Lexus also provided food and $1,000 certificate for the new GS.
