Default Lexus LS350 and LS300h Hybrid Planned?

Early this morning I had opened the Lexus website out of curiosity to see if the 2013 model year had been added, but unfortunately Chrome started to hang and I eventually fell asleep. On another website, someone mentioned this afternoon seeing in the new gallery, the LS350 and LS300h models. They were immediately removed from there. To confirm it I searched the gallery URL with intentions to view a cached version and found this. I'm not sure about trademarks, but Lexus may have already filed them for these models and they probably haven't been publicized yet. Who knows really.

Yeah, I figured. I knew I'd heard the words "first ever ... hybrid" somewhere, but wasn't entirely sure. Looks some Lexus employees have been copying and pasting. Thanks!

It would definitely make more sense as the gas mileage must increase more and more every generation.

LS350 great base model
LS300h as the true hybrid variant
LS F sport 350 (possible turbo?)
LS performance hybrid

and maybe one day...LS F

LS350 would be a good base model, but why LS F Sport 350? 460 should be F-Sport.

And GS450h an hybrid version for USA... 4 engines for Europe :-).

If a LS was to go to a V6, i would prefer it to be in the euro market and not in the US. Anything less than a V8 for an LS here will, imo, downgrade the model. I know about the fuel issues here but Lexus can at least afford to keep one model true to form, the LS.

considering F-Sports are low numbers anyway, why do 350? If you wanted "sport" you would get V8 if available, or?

Looking at MB in Europe, 2 diesels, one with 206 and other with 246hp (aprox forgot exactly), and 3.5l V6, V8 and AMG.... with LS-F, it would fit perfectly :P

i am torn. if lexus wants to promote the fsport, then i think a more popular 350 (naturally) can be good. it's just the sport package on the s class. a lot of these stuff are cosmetic anyway. otherwise it's also like saying fsport should only be on is350 (not is250) and gs should have 460 (fsport) and no such package on the 350. i don't think that will help spreading the message

I disagree. V8 is awesome, but govt regs will force Lexus at some point to offer v6

but GS doesnt have 460....

Problem with having so many options for LS is that it will never happen :-).

Competition will help force Lexus to offer it as well.
