tests like this make sense since many drivers will swerve to avoid an accident last second. I am surprised that so many did so poorly

Sorry but I refuse to be safe in ugly. Life is too short Kinda ironic lol (tries not to crash today) .
Should have figured the negative comments always come out of you.

I own two of those ugly TL's and they have been the best cars we have owned to date. A 2009 and a 2012. Love the 2012 with it's AWD and redesign which looks great now. Yep, it gets compliments everyday from owners of Lexus's too. Some even told me, the interior quality is even better in it vs their bran new RX.

I have owned Lexus's in the past and still will in the future, but as of right now, I don't like their new uglier designs.

:/

Here is another recent test for the TL.

Lexus already made their statement they will try to do better with new models, not 7 year old ones.
Actually...which is still not bad.

http://www.examiner.com/article/acur...y-also-improve

Unspecified design changes midway through the 2012 model year, affecting front-wheel-drive TLs made after April 18 and all-wheel-drive cars made after April 20, have bumped that front-passenger rating from two stars to three, and its overall rating to four stars.

Have no idea who you are but maybe this is a newsflash but most people hate the TL styling since it debuted, its not just me. Enjoy your safe ugly vehicle.

Anecdotal evidence is just that, people still use that on the internet? Here is one "some one told me that the 2014 NSX looks better than an Aston Martin and will be faster than a Pagani Zonda". Acura isTier II, they (as in the Honda CEO) stated themselves they will not and cannot compete with Lexus, BMW, Benz so take that argument up with them. They said it, you going to tell their CEO that your car is superior? lol Enjoy random comments from non car enthusiasts.

I nearly lost it seeing a Tl owner calling any other car ugly. Gonna have to forward that one.

Sorry is that why it's getting rave reviews now, and it's sales have doubled? LOL

People USE TOO hate it, but not anymore. And truthfully no one takes your comments seriously because everyone knows you can't be objective in anything you say.

Last I checked, I wasn't comparing Tier I vs Tier 2 or Lexus vs Acura on who was better. You have a ego problem?

BTW, Acura was the first Luxury brand here in the USA. And they build damn good cars. Some owners have owned other cars other than Lexus Sick unlike yourself so they speak from experience.

And yes, the newer looking designs are a bit ugly vs the older designs which were more appealing, smoother looking, more luxury like.

First off, again, the TL is safe in accidents

The design is still hated, the facelift was lipstick on a pig. Actually the sales goal was 70,000 units a year. The best they did was around 36k or so in 2009. What double sales do you speak of? Its been a disaster for them as this was the volume seller. Thats a fact. Not sure what "double sales" you speak of.

Hey, stating what Honda's CEO said is not an ego problem. Its called a factual retort to what your neighbor said.

Acura was the first yes and now they are last far behind Lexus and now even Infiniti. I've said it many times now Acura's continued failures hurt Lexus. Audi's rise has shifted balance completely to the Germans. Asian luxury is struggling as they are not nearly as unified in appeal and product like BMW, Benz, Audi is.

And if you think I'm not respected here or around, you are either posting either drunk or are delirious. Any more personal commentary you want to add?

Enjoy your TL.

Acura is doing so bad that:

1) They have cars that made the highest safety list from IIHS. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/

2) They are #3 from Consumer Reports to be the most reliable brand on new cars right behind Lexus which is #2. http://autos.ca.msn.com/showroom/con...page=9#image=9

3) 2012 Initial Quality Study for new cars they were 6th place while Lexus was 1st. Not bad out of all those manufactures. http://autos.jdpower.com/ratings/qua...ss-release.htm

4) 2012 US Auto Performance http://autos.jdpower.com/ratings/per...ss-release.htm Acura 3 steps below Lexus while both are almost half way down the list.

I have been here a very long time, and know for a fact that you are not as respected as you may think. Especially on other forums. And learned from experience this will go no where good or you will just lock it to have the last word. So I am done. Enjoy your Lexus.

i think Mike is way too harsh to Acura sometimes but a lot of what he says is the reality... Acura does not even want to aspire to become true luxury brand, they just want to sell some cars.

Another personal attack and after not posting here for 2 years. Did you come in here to talk about the car or to just be mad at me? Why are you so mad at me?. Again my opinion of Acura has be shared and stated by experts througout the automotive world. Its not just me though my posts seem to burn some of you dearly, not sure why. And no where here did I state Acura is bad. I didn't say that at all, you got mad at the ugly comment.

Right, other forums. Who gives a ****. You are telling the guy that mingles and meets with people on other forums for over a decade a few people don't like him? OMG WHAT SHALL I DO, SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE ME!?!?!?? Does everyone love you? That must be a first and an amazing feeling.

BTW you might want to read what you wrote

Seems your eye for design might not be great

Looks good to me:

Nicer than any Acura front end at least, and I'm not even an Acura hater like 1sick.
