Agreed, GM should make both a coupe and sedan. Everyone else is, or at least will be in the near future.

Default Cadillac exec confirms flagship sedan & new SRX for 2015 - report

Flagship will be launched late next year

Cadillac didn't have any concepts for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this year but Cadillac chief engineer Dave Leone is making up for it by confirming plans for a new flagship and a redesigned SRX.

Leone declined to go into specifics but confirmed both models will be introduced sometime next year. He went on to say the flagship sedan will be rear-wheel drive and launched in late 2015.
Little is known about the next-generation SRX but our spies have already snapped photos of the flagship sedan which could wear the LTS moniker. It is expected to ride on the new Omega platform and feature a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 and an optional V8 engine.

A little off topic but excited for a new SRX (as per the article). I feel the current one got stale real fast. Sells decent but the stigma has worn off and it looks dated. Needs the new grill, DRLs and emblem IMO

^I wonder if they will stay with the FWD platform or go to RWD and base it off the CTS, like the first gen?

I wonder if it makes sense for them to go up a size and base it on the Enclave/Acadia platform, or keep it at the current size? Cadillac needs a 3 row crossover and something smaller than the SRX.

Though the official specs haven't been released yet, the latest sources seem to suggest the CTS V-Sport turbo V6 RWD standard, with a small block V8 and/or AWD as options.

He's asking about the SRX, not the LTS/Omega platform flagship Cadillac.

OK, Gotcha. I thought we were still on the thread-topic LTS. Given, though, that Lincoln has just released a FWD/AWD (though slightly smaller) competitor MKC, and that the next MKX will (probably) also be FWD/AWD, I think that might heavily influence Cadillac's decision.

Default Cadillac LTS coming, to rival S-Class and 7-Series

Cadillac is currently expanding its range with the addition of a new flagship sedan, the LTS, which will be rivaling the S-Class, the 7-Series or the A8.

The North American based automaker Cadillac is expanding its car lineup and in between creating a rival for the M4 and updating the CTS for the 2015 model year, the company is also testing out a new flagship sedan. The model in question will be called the LTS and it will be rivaling vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the BMW 7-Series or the Audi A8, coming in with design cues from the Elmiraj Coupe Concept.

The new Cadillac LTS is said to ride on a new platform and it will be offered in a four-door sedan body style, with several engines available. The vehicle is expected to debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show, in April, and it should become available for order by the end of next year. More details on the new Cadillac LTS remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut at the American automotive event.

Default Will a New Big Sedan and Redesigned SRX Stop Cadillac's Sales Slide?

With a solid lineup of new sedans, Cadillac should be doing better than reporting a 2% slip in sales this year. But that's where more new product comes in.

Cadillac's Chief Engineer Dan Leone, in an interview Friday at Pebble Beach with Bloomberg, confirmed that a new high-end, rear-wheel drive sedan would be in dealerships late next year. It's rumored to be called LTS and look a lot like the stunning Elmiraj Concept that was shown last year in Pebble Beach.

Still, it's hard to see how Cadillac can substantially increase its volume when the ATS and redesigned CTS sedans are both reporting sizable sales drops over 2013. In fact, the oldest Cadillac, the SRX crossover, is the best-seller in the lineup. And it's up 16% over this time in 2013.

Cadillac will get a redesigned SRX next year, as well. Not much is known about the new crossover, but it's expected to stick closely to the current FWD-based version.

Given that GM's luxury brand has been able to sell the SRX without even really trying, the demand for new luxury crossovers should mean a surge of new buyers will head to a Cadillac dealership for the new one. And maybe then they can be persuaded to check out at least one of the brand's fine new RWD sedans.

Default Cadillac LTS flagship to debut at Pebble Beach in 2015 - report

Will have a design that is "somewhere between the CTS and the Elmiraj"

Cadillac has reportedly announced plans to introduce their flagship sedan at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

While previous reports have indicated it would debut at the New York Auto Show, Top Gear is reporting we'll get our "first look" at the car during next year's event. This sounds plausible as Cadillac has previously previewed their flagship with the Ciel and Elmiraj concepts which made their debut at Pebble Beach.

Company insiders also told the magazine the car will have a design that is "somewhere between the CTS and the Elmiraj." That's a little vague but we can expect a prominent front grille that is flanked by vertical headlights. Previous spy photos have also shown the model will have an imposing appearance thanks to a long hood and a short deck.

The flagship sedan, which could be called the LTS, is scheduled to be launched late next year.

I thought that big body Cadillac coupe looked familiar. There is a car that looks like it on Grand Theft Auto: V. It sure looks like a cool car.

Default Upcoming Cadillac flagship to be offered in Europe - report

Heavily inspired by the Ciel and the Elmiraj

The future flagsip sedan of Cadillac that could be called the LTS will reportedly reach the European market.

The InAutoNews team has contacted representatives from the company who claimed the vehicle will also become available for order in Europe, but will not necessarily wear the LTS moniker. It is believed the car will be rear-wheel drive and will be launched in late 2015.

“We strive to offer all our key models in every market – so, yes, we expect that future offerings would arrive in Europe. The term LTS is a rumored name; not necessarily the actual name this car will have”, told the site a company official.

Little is still known about the flagship sedan but it will likely be influenced by concept cars such as the Ciel and Elmiraj and will ride on a completely new Omega platform. The LTS is said to be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 and an optional V8 engine.
