so you've widened your car search to include american? how do you go from looking at bmw7, LS460, m37 to a Challenger? did you even test drive the LS that you wanted a few months back? whats next, a Veloster? lol

but on a serious note - was hanging around Chrysler dealer and took a good look at a '12 300 srt8 - white on black. Haven't drove it but its exterior design and interior improvements are light years ahead of previous 300/chargers. its a hell of a car for $54k(sticker), but only after getting back to my LS and driving for a bit I was reminded why i'm not ready to trade down to american full size cars...well not just yet.

Just a heads up - the transmission is horrible worst shift shock I've ever felt in my life.

+1 on mustang 5.0 ... That car is a blast to drive!!!

Pretty reliable car, **** happens but the Hemi LX models have proven themselves to go 150k with relatively no issues, the trans is pretty smooth, at times you can't feel it shift, that is just my ownership experience.

5.0 Mustang, depending where you live you will see a dozen everyday, I say Challenger, enjoy the car, your racing

The new model is light years better than the old. Do all you can to avoid the old and invest in the new.

I did a full-review on the R/T model a few years ago, but, of course, that's not quite as much engine (or tires) as the SRT-8.

I'd take a Challenger over a Mustang anyday.

Your '07 GS's stying and interior wasn't based on a 40+-year-old design. In fact, there are some things I like about the original Challenger's interior, 40 years ago, more then the new one. The old one, though filled with cheap-plastic inside like the new one, had, IMO, better-looking instrument-faces and classy wood-tone trim for the steering wheel, dash, and console. The new one lacks any wood-tone at all.
