I was going to say the same thing. And cars in Vancouver are half price compare to Hong Kong due to the lack of the 100% registation tax, so even kids drive exotic cars there. Their parents think is a great deal.

By the way, does anybody know if Stanley Ho drives an exotic? He sure can afford it. I've only been around him once, on the hydrofoil to Macao. Probably he just rides around in a chaufeur driven Rolls. A very interesting guy, in my opinion.

I agreed. Hong Kong folks are poor now compare to mainland Chinese folks. Communism corruption money make the Veyron Super Sport seems cheap

He is 90 years old now, he can barely walk. He rides in chauffeur driven Rolls and luxury vans.

He was never known to be a car enthusiast. He likes women and kids, got 4 wifes and 17 kids.

Yes I think 80% of rich folks in HK rides in chauffeur driven Alphard / Vellfire, it make sense, they are more comfy and have more interior room inside then Phantom and Maybach 62s

Even exotic car owners, drivers........ travel in chauffeur driven Alphard in their daily grind. Here is Aaron Kwok getting out of his van.

I do too, I love riding in people's Sienna and Odyssey, it is more comfy then luxury sedans in many ways

My coworker always tells me if I love riding in his Sienna so much, why don't I buy one myself? The difference is, it is great to be driven in them, I don't want to drive it myself.

The Sienna Limited is getting there, it got the reclining captain chair with leg rest also. I do feel the material is still a little low grade.

I always wonder why the Alphard is not market under the Lexus brand overseas, just like how MB have the R-Class and V-Class.

it's close but still quite far from what an "ultimate" alphard can get you. i also feel the alphard carries a lot more jdm culture and feel to it

size is a problem with the alphard imho. it's not small, but for american size and needs, the car isn't as "practical" for what most families ask for.

I don't know the details of the Alphard but it does look higher end then a Sienna Limited. The Alphard is made for the JDM market, of course it is all JDM.

The Alphard looks similar size to the Sienna we have, it looks smaller inside mainly due to the huge captain chair I think.

I always think there is a market here if Lexus market a minivan here in the $60k range with GS level of materials and luxury accommodations. A fully loaded Sienna Limited is already $50k. I see tons of Sienna Limited in my hood.
