Default awd is350 or s4

so I had an 06 is350 for a few years, then switched to an 07 a4 quattro manual. there were goods and bads to both. I think for my next car, Im going with either the new awd is350 or s4. Ive heard the audi awd and subaru awd are the best out there, but are they significantly better than any other awd systems out there such as Lexus? I cant see myself not having an awd vehicle anymore, so the question is...

IF you guys had the choice of either, what would you get (yes I am prepared for biased opinions)?

AWD is350 or audi S4 quattro

I agree but I don't usually keep a vehicle after basic warranty..
Why not wait and see what the new generation '13 IS looks like if you're thinking new?

If your going S4 and its out of warranty, best of luck to you. Having a fast car can only be so fun before ultimately the repair bills add up quick. We have a 2008 AUDI S4 Manual incase your interested in buying. Let me know, thanks! Ill sell it cheap. Its at my dealer.

I agree....in a case like this, good luck. Though I know there are those on CAR CHAT who disagree (one poster on the used-AMG thread, for example, felt that even a used Mercedes AMG out of warranty could be a safe buy), I myself would not keep an upmarket European model past warranty.

The IS is due for a redesign, the S4 is a relatively new design. You might want to put that into consideration when buying.

AWD is350 or audi S4 quattro
well you had the both, so why are you asking us? How can we tell you which one is better when you had both cars?

btw, main part of S4 AWD comes from Toyota (torsen LSD).

Torsen is a American design made by Gleason Corporation.

Wait for the new IS design before deciding.

Well, let me explain this clearer then...

Cars I have had: 06 Lexus IS350 (did not have AWD back then) and 07 Audi A4

Cars I am asking about: NEW AWD IS350, S4 (very different from an A4) and yes the b8
*I have not had either of the cars I am asking about

Thanks for the things to think about

While utterly bland from the outside the interior is nice and it has great performance. I'd try the S4. Thing is the base price is good but options add up easily which is expected. A loaded awd Is is the price of a base or so S4.

Good luck

Toyota purchased Torsen in 2003 from Robert Bosch Corporation. They developed new products and now many manufacturers use it, including a LOT of AWD Toyotas.

Seen a Black \ Black \ Black wheels S4 recently and it was smoking hot, so that is my vote.
