it's easy to have a fan base without a price tag. if the car's over 100k as is i doubt many of those fans will be buyers, but regardless, it's definitely an impressive concept.

i can't see something that flashy being an SC, but maybe an LC, to be lexus high end coupe.

The old SC430 was based on the 2nd generation GS chassis. I'm assuming this concept has a different chassis from the 4th Gen GS.

So what I think will happen in reality :
3rd Gen SC based on the 4th Gen GS chassis, a GS coupe if you will...
This LF-LC concept will become a coupe based on the future LS chassis and it will compete directly with the Mercedes Benz CL coupe which is derived from the S class chassis

4th gen GS-->GS coupe( future SC)--> competes with 6 series,Audi A7 and CLS
Future LS--->LF-LC( future LS derived coupe)---> competes with MB CL coupe

I've seen a couple comments in this thread about transmission options, but does anyone really think this will come to market as anything but a CVT?

Not quite.

The first gen SC had little to do with the GS. It was more Supra than GS.

The second gen SC was based on the GS, which was simply, an anomaly. There was no Supra at the time of its inception, so they went to the most sporty chassis they had at the time.

The third gen SC can be altogether independent of the IS/GS and the LS. The LS chassis is too heavy and big, and the LF-LC is too svelte for it. If the LF-LC is based on ToMoCo's most sporty chassis, it would be the LFA, albeit highly modified for cost efficiency.

They would have to develop a completely new transmission...maybe since it is the next generation hybrid they have something new planned? I have heard nothing.

They are very happy with the CVTs so far as they have been utterly reliable in every Lexus hybrid. I'm driving a CT now which adjusts the CVT based on ECO/Sport mode and while it does change throttle response and rev happiness, it doesn't feel involving....

I assume they will include paddle shifters if its a CVT (not sure if the new 4GS 450h has Paddle Shifters, shame on me)

I'm hoping to see the following from the LF-LC:

-$55,000-$75,000 price tag.
-At least 400 horsepower.
-V8, V10, or a turbo V6. A hybrid option is cool too.
-A hardtop and soft top convertible variant would be nice.
