Completes massively long journey with only four fuel stops :)

I'm too lazy to post the other pics or the main article so just read it from the source links below:

Yup nice indeed.

Thing is though, those figures come from the 2.2 liter version featured in the pics which has 188 hp I think. I dunno if those power figures would be considered as underpowered by American buyers.

If ever a diesel version will be launched, then maybe the 3.0 liter Diesel S might be it. It would consume more but it has more power and torque over the 2.2.

I believe the 3.0 Diesel S would have 240-260 hp and at 600 Newton Meters of Torque.

didnt Sonata Hybrid get like 60+ mpg from such trip and now nobody can get it over 30 in real use scenarios? :-)

Hybrids do better with city mileage, not highway mileage.

I don't know how Hyundai could have claimed 60+ for a cross-country trip.

That's very nice only stopping four times to get gas driving from New York to Los Angeles. That third picture looked like the 15 freeway coming to/from Vegas.

Too bad Lexus doesn't bring the diesel version of the IS to the states. Lexus could do so much with the IS line.

Hehe agreed

They could..........but if it 'only' comes in a stick shift (like the 2IS diesel cars sold in Europe), then this car will automatically be dead in the water upon arrival when it reaches stateside or any part of the North American continent.
