My guess is it will not, you see these custom jobs for good prices 3-4 years later as well. This may be cool to those not aware of the offshore world but its pretty common to many. You can buy a LOT of boat for $1.5MM.

The 1350hp's with the drives are 200k each MSRP, may be had for $150-160k each to the builder. You have $350k in engines and drives, 50k in a trailer and the tow rig another 150k leaving you 900k to get the cat, rigging and all the luxo's done...........

Great boat either way though!

Interesting that Kiekhaefer (Mercury) Marine engine was originally developed for the ZR1 Corvette, and Kiekhaefer built the heads for the ZR1 for years afterward. Up to that time, Mercury had an exclusive deal with Ford for their V8 powerplants, but the close relationship with Chevy and the Corvette ended all that.
