This thing looks fantastic. This is how a character-rich SUV's should be styled. RR should have a hit on their hands.

I can bet you $1000 that each one will probably never see dirt or mud. I like it a lot but its going to be a mall parking lot queen.

I drove this at pebble beach before the GS reveal .... Was not impressed.

Brakes were WAYYYY to sensitive!!! One small press of the brake pedal and it felt like I was slamming on the brakes! ...

Its also only abvailable with the turbo-4 ... which I did notice some turbo lag. Its also very "peppy" ... not as refined as other engines from luxury makes.

Visibility was pretty bad too

I liked the gear selector **** though

IMO... looks good, but not something id be interesting in owning

54k for RDX competitor is way too much, even if it looks good.

Every review mentioned turbo 4 not being refined for 54k car.

I just tried building an Evoque on the official website:
http://www.landrover.com/gl/en/rr/ra...-evoque/build/

It was loads of fun picking the SD4 automatic with 2.2 liter diesel engine.

No offense, but there would be no reason to spend 50k on an off-road vehicle when you can buy a fully loaded, modded/lifted to the sky jeep for like 15k. In most peoples eyes, they want an suv that will be able to tackle a snow storm with ease so I'm sure youll see more reviews of it in the snow than off-road.

Brakes usually are the most sensitive if the car has less than 3-4k miles on it, maybe that's why you presumed them to be too sensitive? With all the draw backs this car may have, people would still like to own one for the driving art that It is. It is definitely the best looking suv in its class with, imo, with the q5 trailing behind it. Msrp is expensive but I'm sure after it hits the showroom, the dealer invoice will be much lower and it'll reside closer to its competitors, but I'm sure people will be willing to pay for the premium to wake up and see this car everyday instead of a glk.
