LOL, favorite quote firefighter: "I wonder why they didn't question driving into a puddle that doesn't seem to end"

I don't think I would ever do this, but it was at night, no lights on the road and raining. They thought the road just had water on it, but when they realized it was too deep, it was too late.

What would you do if you are driving somewhere you have never been and there is a paved road going into what seems to be a puddle and your GPS says to keep going, and it's raining. You probably won't realize until you are in way too deep.

A good example of why it might pay off to get full loss/damage waiver when renting a car......

And they weren't from the area, either. It's tough to know what really went on.

You're telling me that the headlights on the car is out too? Well you shouldn't have been driving at night while it was raining when your headlights don't work. Obviously if it worked, and in this case I'm pretty sure it did, you would've seen that lake no problem.

It's ridiculous how unwilling people are to exercise common sense.

I've got friends with college degrees who could easily have been the said girls.

I've had my friend tell me how the girl that he was carpooling with refused to get off the designated exit on a freeway because the GPS didn't say so--although their destination address was the street the exit emptied out to.

They almost missed it a second time around when they turned around because "BUT THE NAVIGATION DOESN'T SAY THAT!!!"

Yeap, these are apparently women on a "business trip" too. Feel bad for the company they work for if this is the kind of employees they have doing their business trips. Makes you wonder what kind of employees they have at the lower end of their hierarchy.

And the problem with being stupid is that you can't fix it.
