I remember the boys on top gear were in love as well. They admitted it was not the fastest or the best handling but they just loved it any way. What I always remember is that Alfa Romeo employed Enzo Ferrari. To anyone who knows automotive history there really arent many cars that can match the early racing history.

In terms of a drivers car, it was excellent. Handled very well although as said above, not the fastest. Alfa Romeo reputation in the UK has always been low. Alfa's of old were very unreliable and got a lot of bad press. I have had 5 different ones and have to say i love the mark.

Those who dont know what it is. Its the Alfa Romeo Brera inspired by the 2004 concept car and designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro famous for his Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati designs.

Alfas are quite beautiful. I was fortunate enough when I lived in Mexico to drive their entire range (I knew friends who owned at least one of each of the Alfas sold their) and they were a barrel of fun.
