Yes, I think the interior is going to sell this car. I just hope that the reliability of this car matches the decor inside.

Oop, two new Cruze problems:

GM said it will inspect 154,112 Cruze 2011 models for proper installation of the intermediate steering shaft covers. Of that group, it will also inspect 120,295 Cruzes with an automatic transmission for proper installation of the transmission shift linkage.

That interior was probably designed before the GM-buyout was finalized. The Cruze was sold overseas for some years, under other nameplates, before it came to the U.S. as a Chevy.

Thanks for the great review mmarshall.......we bought a 2012 Cruze today that my fiance will be driving. I did read your review prior to purchasing and it was very informative.

Which version did you get?...the Cruze line-up covers a fair range of models and price-territory.

And congratulations on the engagement.

A brand-new car will certainly make a nice wedding gift for the two of you. (or for her, if that's the case)

I have some interest myself in the upcoming compact Buick Verano, which will generally be done on the Cruze platform, but with a different powertrain, sheet metal, interior, and sound-insulation.

We pretty much went with the same LS you test drove except Silver. Stickered for about $18,700ish. I was impressed with the interior like you....We'll pick it up tomorrow and see how she does over the months/years.
