Default Best rear seats, executive or otherwise...

Obviously, the LS got executive seating in 07. The A8L has it in 2011. There are no options on the dealer sites for the S550 or 750Li to have executive seating, unless I missed something.

Are there any other vehicles that offer some sort of executive rear seats with entertainment? Or is it just the LS and A8L right now?

Also, what years did Rolls or Bentley start putting rear seat entertainment into the cars? The new ones are pretty pricey, but I would assume some used ones could be found for the 100-120k that a new loaded LS or A8L costs, depending on how long they have had entertainment packages available.

What about really good back seats that aren't part of an executive package? I know there are a lot of people here that drive a lot of cars, what are your favorite back seats for comfort and luxury?

For legroom alone, first gen Scion xB.

More room than a Rolls Royce Phantom.

I've found the second generation LS400's back seats to be very comfortable. I also like the old 90's Lincoln's seats a lot!

Was looking for a full-size luxury car that at least has rear entertainment, which didn't really start being offered from the factory for most until late last decade.

It's funny you mention that because that was the loaner car we got when we had one of our cars repaired. So much room in the back! No frills or any sort of luxurious feel, but the look from the outside really doesn't show how much space it has inside. But the LS and A8 both have great legroom with the luxury to please those passengers. I've sat in the S63 AMG, and it had plenty of legroom as well.

After reading my initial post again, I should clear up that this is certainly NOT a troll for equus comments, in case it came off that way. I realize it has executive seats, but it is definitely not what I am looking for.

You know it'd only cost around $2,000 to have a dealer install such a system for you? Perhaps more on a more expensive car, but this is the price Land Rover quoted me for doing it in a LR2.

Previous gen XJ had full electric rear seats, very nice ones indeed. It was as good as LS.
Current XJ doesn't have them .. yet! 2012MY will

I think for MB, if you want executive rear seating, they will guide you to their Maybach line. But I think for cars not priced in the stratosphere, the two you mentioned are it. And then of course the Equus... LOL.

Executive seating is available on both the S-class and the 7 series. On the S-class it is called the "rear seat package". On the 7 series, only the Li models (long wheelbase) offer "rear comfort seating"

You could probably buy any car and get monitors put in the headrests.
