Lexus Releases Details on Limited Edition 2011 IS 350C F Sport

Lexus has become ‘F Sport happy’ with its IS lineup for the 2011 model year. Lexus IS 250 F Sport and IS 350 F Sport sedans are already available, and now the automaker has announced pricing information on the IS 350C F Sport limited edition.
Including destination, the 2011 Lexus IS 350C F Sport will sell for $55,995. That’s a lot of cash above the regular IS 350C‘s $46,715, but the IS 350C F Sport comes loaded. For those who want a top-down driving experience and a more dynamic performance than an ordinary Lexus convertible offers, the F Sport uses shocks developed in cooperation with Bilstein. The car has been lowered about one inch and wears 19-inch multispoke forged alloy wheels with a dark graphite finish.
“The F Sport Special Edition builds on the IS 350C and takes the fun of the convertible up another notch,” said Mark Templin, Lexus Division group vice president and general manager. “The racing inspired F Sport accessories on this car were precision engineered specifically for this vehicle, allowing us to provide performance without compromise.”
Sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 225/35ZR19 tires are in the front while 255/35ZR19 tires are fitted in the rear. Completing the performance upgrades is a sway bar to reduce body roll as the IS 350C rounds corners on your favorite back road.
Only 175 units will be made, or fewer than one unit per U.S. Lexus dealer. At this point, a Lexus spokesman tells us, there aren’t plans for an IS 250C F Sport model.
HID headlights and LED daytime running lights give the car an upscale appeal, as do black and red semi-aniline leather seats with red stitching. A navigation system and rear backup camera are included in the limited edition model, which has a Special Build 2011 interior badge and is only available in white or black paint. As with other IS 350Cs, the F Sport variant has a 306-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 with 277 pound-feet of torque and a quoted 0-60 mph time of 5.8 seconds.

Ohh and here I was hoping that they put the IS-F engine in the vert....
Could you not retro fit the IS350C with F sport parts for cheaper than the additional $9k price tag?
I guess you would not get the special seats or badge?

Unit #019 will be probably be up for grabs very shortly. Our dealer is buying back the car due to it constantly being in the shop for "squeaks and rattles" according to the owner. This makes it the 4th Lexus we've bought back from this woman. We agreed to this FINAL buyback with her on the terms that she purchases her next car from another manufacturer LMAO
