Newcomer, saying hello
Long long time lurker of CL Clublexus. From the Northeast, more specifically Maine.
Huge Toyota/Lexus fan, currently drive a Q7 and Jetta Wagon TDI

I'm just re-joining CL myself after a several-week absence due to recovery from surgery.
Your screen-name, AutoUnion, is interesting. Auto-Union was the original name that Audi used, decades ago, back when they pioneered rear-engine racing cars. They were tricky-handling, tended to oversteer heavily, and even the best racing drivers in the world, at that time, sometimes found them to be anywhere from a handful to downright scary.
In fact, the name "Audi" comes from a shortened form of the German translation for "Auto-Union".

mmarshall above hit the nail on the head perfectly. Audi used to be AutoUnion back in the day. AutoUnion, itself, is the union of 4 brands from back in the day. His post got the history spot on
