I really like the looks of the RR, but I must say reliability is indeed terrible, just terrible. I don't know how it is in the US, but here in Canada the RR unfortunately is quite a poser vehicle. Lots of people buy used RR models for low prices just to "look" rich . Many of them end up selling them soon after too because they can't afford the maintenance .

imho it's about the same here. people have RR, but a lot of them used. and they feel the pain when the cars break down and face the cost

I recall a relatively recent article about a new Ford vehicle that had gone through extensive durability testing. One of the testing engineers was expounding the virtues of this new Ford product, stating that the engine/vehicle had held up better than just about anything they've ever tested, with one caveat: the Land Cruiser.

"...that vehicle is indestructible."

There are certain vehicles that define the boundaries. The Land Cruiser is one of them, and the high price is justified.

Land Cruiser are worth it. Indestructible. Not to many on the road though.

In many countries the Land Cruiser is a status symbol and driven around by the rich and politicians.

I'll take a no frills FJ40 LC anytime. Talk about indestructible.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a beast off and on road look at the used market those things aren't cheap , the quality of it is far greater there than that of the Sequoia imo. Though i'm sure most buyers now and days go for the LX 570 instead, for the cost of both in the above $75k range, spending a bit more for the Lexus is not an isssue. The Range Rover though looks great is just a unreliable beast, and to maintain isn't cheap either so give me a LC or LX instead.

i bought my LX470 from a range rover/Jag dealership, i saw almost every RR there- sat in few of them drove couple...they werent even close to the LX, ..when i drive LX its like a tank...you can go anywhere..over anything....one of the best car i have owned period...i liked it so much i was thinking to get a older LX for ..i am curretly looking for older ones for my father in law..they are hard to find and nothing below 15k- with 100K/150K+ miles....for a 1998-2000 year old....
I drove one 2000 lx470 with 312k miles apart from wear and tear in leather seats it drove just as smooth as my 07 lx....
impressive...........
