Is there any true benefit to this car? Waste of time IMO it sounds like the top is also manual...

I assumed that one of the positives of manual top was a reduction in weight. Plus the article in the OP alludes to weight saving part replacements. But evo in their "first drive" said that the Speedster actually weighs the same as the GTS Cabrio. So other than being exclusive and rather ugly, I guess there isn't any benefit.
