The 40k Lexus question (used and new)
It was a tough one to choose between ISF and 09 GS350 but I went with the GS for the extra feature and ride comfort.
I made this decision based on the fact that I'd be driving this vehicle for at least 5 years.

i'm kinda surprised no RX's were listed as an option. that would've been my first choice, since my mom loves LUV's. but this was a tossup for me. nothing beats the performance of the F. the CT looks pretty good to me, but i'm not sure if i can see myself or my folks in one. the other option that i was looking at was the loaded 09 ES 350. one of the most luxurious sedans IMO. there are some really enticing choices there.

It would depend on whether my summer car or winter car needed replacing as to whether I'd buy an 05-06 LS430 (and have about 10K left over) or an LX. Actually, the sum of the purchase prices of my two current cars (05 LS430 and 07 Subaru Outback) were just a bit over the $40K target when I bought them this year.
For 40K (or slightly under that), why is the new IS250AWD not in the poll, Mike...or is that included with the "pretty-loaded" IS250 choice?
If you are going to spend 40K on a Lexus product, especially as a DD, then, IMO, a new IS250AWD or CT would probably be the two most-sensible choices, at least in my part of the country. The CT, of course, offers the advantages of the HS250 model with a more-practical hatchback body style.
