To any newcomers and those who are not aware of this (to avoid confusion):
This exercise (aka brand name removal - removal of Lexus nameplate is only for cars sold in the American market........and I presume Canada is included here as well?)

Everywhere else, the Lexus nameplate is still there (as of September 2010)

I hope this clarifies things and minimizes any confusion or misunderstand.

I am proud to wear "SEWELL" emblem on my toy,
to me it means my toy is being taken care by the best technician available with reasonable fees
(unlike other dealership...(higher fees with crappy service as bonus).

I refuse to let a dealer stick a advertisement/emblem on my car. It's not a common practice in California, and would be rejected by most buyers.

100% of dealers have the stick on ad and dealer script license plate frames in my area.I tell them to remove the stick on ad.
I don't accept delivery of a vehicle with their stick on ad on back.I don't care about the license plate frame because I change it to a quality polished stainless steel or black powder coated frame.

Like many things in life, less is more.

BMW has only the Rondel.

Mercedes-Benz uses only "the Star."

On my car, I would make the rest of the emblems go away, too.
