I like the new emblem on my RX450h. t's a refreshing change. The old design was nice but getting a little blah. My only complaint is the front emblem is way too big. I would have preferred something smaller.

I did have the rear emblem changed recently. There was some kind of corrosion going on inside. Dealer said they've seen a few with the same problem.

I like it better without. And one less thing to have to wax around too.

but wow lookin at their cars on this post, they sure look dated compared to the upcoming kia optima.

I can't wait to see what toyota lexus has in store for their next releases .
This is a luxury forum and it does matter, thus why we are talking about it.

Its called classy design. It lasts for years. Luxury car owners don't want the car to change drastically every generation. It kills resale value and image.

You do realize you are comparing older luxury cars to brand new non luxury 2011 models. Apples to Oranges

ah, the thread wouldnt have been complete without a comment about kia.

Anita, what do you mean about the new emblems on your 450? just the blue logos? I was confused at first whether or not you took your Lexus emblem off.

These 3 emblems stand alone by themselves. Anything extra is unnecessary.

Will have to give this more time, but so far I think it looks unbalanced and naked.
Surprised no one brought up the story of Hyundai ommitting their emblem on the front of the Genesis sedan. There was a big thing about that before the car came out- whether to include it or not.
Interestingly, the railroad formerly known as Burlington Northern Santa Fe is now just "BNSF." The words are no longer in the official name. The railroad wants to be known only as letters. Many companies are now taking this "logo" approach. Maybe the artist formerly known as Prince was on to something.

I was referring to the L emblem, front and back. I'm keeping everything on.

I like the change

I'll have to get used to the lack of symmetry in the back now which in my mind was probably the reason for the Lexus emblem in addition to the L emblem to begin with.

Guys, lets not get baited again. I'm still exhausted from the last thread.

Would be nice if members had a tool to put specific members on "ignore", kind of like in a chat room.

Moderators?

It looks more proper without the badge.

You should be able to do this. Go into the member's profile and add them to the your ignore list. Ignore away.

As for the emblem, I'm used to the German cars doing it this way. I understand about the balance but the redundancy bothers me more. I don't hate the "Lexus", though, so I can go either way.

They did this with the LFA badging too, though owners can elect to have the LFA debadged with just the 'L' logo.
