Lightbulb Say It Isn't So... 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 vs New M3!

I have been hearing and reading tons of praise on the GT and now it appears... Rightfully So!!!

Even with a craptastic solid rear axle and being heavier... The Stang holds it's own MUCH better than I could have EVER anticipated!

Amazing! It will easily be one of if not THE Best Buy for a Sports Car... PERIOD!

For the definitive answer, we go to Randy's times: 87.67 seconds in the BMW to 87.76 seconds for the Ford. That's right, the difference between the fastest laps of the M3 and Mustang GT is, literally, less than an eye blink: 0.09 second, to be exact.
uh oh spaghettios

A gust of wind could have caused that difference, amazing.

Wow...
Thinking back...it would be amusing to see the 5.0 in CHP trim on the highways again.

What an amazing machine Ford has created. Ford should give 2010 Mustang owners some kind of compensation.

It gets reasonable mileage too, at 17/26 mpg.

The new 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 engine makes me want to buy a domestic car.

Sure, people who love cars, bragging rights, like to show off, and had $60,000 to spend, mostly they would get the BMW, but if you want great performance, good fuel economy, quality, not care about what people think, save $30,000 for a bigger house or investment, the new 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 is the best car for the money. Everyone has different priority when it comes to cars.

We had a M3 thread where we discussed the GT vs the M3 and it came to the same conclusions. The GT is just an amazing buy for the money.

I would certainly agree with the bolded section.

The Mustang is a great "bang for the buck" but lacks the refinement and luxury that many people are looking for. I wanted to love it and was moderately impressed with the engine, but it was so much less than what I would expect in a car that I was purchasing.

The majority of luxury cars wouldn't ever exist if "bang for the buck" was all that mattered.
