Well, if I wanted to put an American V8 into a 7 series, I'd buy a 735/740, not a 750. Even if I had a 750 with a blown motor, I wouldn't molest it with a pushrod pos

Here's someone doing exactly the opposite - getting rid of a pushrod pos for a sweet BMW V12

A co-worker of mine had a Datsun 240Z with a big V8 in it. That thing was nasty.

It's cool to see the Miata on the top of the list. I remember reading about this waaay back when Monster Miata was doing this with the 1st gens. It's amazing that a car that small has an engine bay big enough to accept a huge engine like that.

Its from an Itanian company, De Tomaso, but was actually designed by an American man. I believe many of them came stock with Ford 351 Cleveland V8. There are a few amazing Panteras out there...

I am not suprised to see not one Toyota on that list. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that one of the Supra/Celica/MR2 would easily make the list.

I did detect a little Lambo (Italian) cues.
