Are the tire profile the same on the AWD model? Logically if you have a higher sitting car, you should not have low profile tires. Beefier tires would minimize the wheel gap.

Not really sure what anyone is trying to prove here? One is a dark car and the picture is taken from the top-down. The other two are white and taken at a lower level. Nobody even knows if that gray car is the IS 350AWD, and if they did, any comparison about tenths of an inch in wheel gap would be IMPOSSIBLE to resolve due to the picture angle.
To be completely honest, the front wheel gap on both of those 3s is pretty ungainly...

Wheel gap measured in terms of fat "fingers" is a joke in itself. I see this over on the IS section sometimes.
But I've seen only 2 AWD IS250's in California and it did look a bit jacked-up.
