No problem, I can handle it. I think the resale bug has already hit both of these cars. Remember I’m looking for a 07 or 08. I'm look for a dream car.

Hello rogers, I remember your NSX.
For your criteria, everyone here is right - the Vantage is ballin'. However, the SL55 is much faster and you'll have a hardtop convertible. The Vantage will be about the same speed as an NA2 NSX; the SL will feel like a sledgehammer. Personally, I like the seats in the SL much better too. The AM does come with a manual tranny though.
Good luck!

The Aston has it hands down if it was the DB9S. For the vanatge compared to the SL I would go with the Benz. Its been proven time and time again.
No matter what you chose you will never go wrong here.

Ok, guys I’m still looking.
Opinion after Testdrive:
Vantage:
The Vantage is nice but it reminds me of my NSX with more power. I truly think if you’re going to go Aston Martin. Go for the DB9. Plus Vantage has no room inside.
MB CL600:
Lord this car feels like a submarine/tank. The car interior was beautiful and the car had every option in the book. The only bad thing is that I refuse to purchase a MB without the AMG Pak. Sorry
I plan to test drive a DB9 and SL55 this week. Hopefully I can make a decision b/c this check is burning a hole in my pocket.

At this point, you will not loose between the DB9 and SL55...considered an SL63?

If you have to check to see if you can afford these cars, then I assume maintenance/repairs are also going to be important. In casual conversation with a car enthusiast, I was told that an oil change on a AM is $1600. I never verified if this was true or was just someone exaggerating, so you might ask around. Such costs would affect my decision, much like the $8000 brake job on GT-Rs.

I went and took a look at a black DB9 at lunch time. The car has less features than the Benz but the exterior is too die far.

I don't care too much for the new bodystyle on the SL63.

My friends dad just bought an '05 Aston DB9. I have to say, after seeing that car in person, I just stood there and looked at it. There is just something about Aston Martin's..
