Just wanted to quickly say hello. I've been looking for a motoring message board that has plenty of traffic and conversation, but without all the drama and bad behavior that tends to occur on the busier sites. From what I've seen in the past day, it appears as though I've found a good one here at clublexus. The threads seem to be civilized and very diverse in topics and viewpoints. This is a big compliment to the moderators, as well as the maturity of the people posting here. Every site has its problems, but it's looking like this one is better than most.
I currently own a 4Runner and an S2000, but am interested buying either a GS or IS sometime this fall. We've moved to a "cold weather" state, and the Honda isn't going to work in the winter snow and ice. As much as I hate the idea of parting with the S2000 *sigh*, it's always fun getting into something new. Anyhow, conversation for another day and time.
I'm a big fan of all things with 4 wheels, and I'm really looking forward to hanging out here!
I spent plenty of time cruising around the net before I really settled and called Club Lexus my "home" and I've been here ever since. Surprisingly, the discussions here, about other brands, are often more constructive and civilized than they are on other boards centered around those brands. Everyone here is pretty laid back, knowledgable, and fun to interact with.
I have a IS (RWD, not AWD) and have found the IS-2nd generation section of CL to be especially helpful/excellent resource. This area contains postings by many experienced and knowledgeable owners of the cars, including the AWD version of the IS250. Check it out (and the GS-3rd generations section too).
...and now goodbye. Evidently, due to my work's IP address, the board software thinks that I'm another person that's been banned from CL. So most of my ~150 posts have not been visible to anyone but myself. Which is a little frustrating, because I put effort into signing up for the website, and typing out my posts. A better solution would have been for someone to inform me of this before put forth the effort of posting. Water over the bridge, I guess.
Guessing that nobody will be able to see this post either. If you can, I wish you all the best. If not, then... *sigh*
