This guys last ride into eternity
Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the clubhouse. Figured it would be understood more on this side...

He's on the highway to heaven.
David Morales Colon, 22, who was shot to death last week in Puerto Rico, had asked his family to avoid a traditional funeral when he died.
So morticians propped him up on his trusty Honda, dressed for his last road trip in shades, cap and a riding shirt.
"He loved his motorcycle. It made him feel free from his worries," a mourner said. "We all know he will be happy riding for eternity."

Well, it's often the other way around. A lot of guys die riding on their bikes and then go to the coffin. A shame, though, that this young man, with many years still ahead of him, had to die at such an early age.
I wonder if that's what they did with Evel Kinevel when he passed away? He, of course, was the very essence of the classic, no-holes-barred biker.

Deceased man posed on motorcycle for wake...
By the way, he didn't die via motorcycle accident. But he loved motorcycle riding so much, his family honored his passion for it during his memorial.
Deceased man posed on motorcycle for wake
Saturday, 01 May 2010
Motorcycles were dragged into the world of the morbid and downright strange this week as family members arranged for a deceased biker to ‘pose’ on a Honda CBR600 F4 for his funeral.
The news made all sorts of publications as the family in Puerto Rico positioned the body of 22-year-old David Morales Colon sitting on the motorcycle for the funeral in what has called an unusual postmortem display.
Reportedly, after 22-year-old David Morales Colon was murdered the week before, his family enlisted the help of Marin Funeral Home in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to make his wake a tribute to his life's passion of motorcycling.
Colon's body was embalmed, dressed in shades and blue jeans, and put in the saddle of his Honda CBR600 for the duration of his three-day wake.
