While at my local Kmart today here in lovely Queens, NY I decided to stop by the toy section, I always love to check out some of the cars they got, maybe i'll spot something I want but can't help but notice these two Matchbox cars.

that lexus looks like a old skool Citroen

 

i thought the same exact thing....

the mazda is 1/2 price due to packaging defect.

 

and the other is a yaris i think? those are collector item i would have pick them up for sure

 

That was always the problem with matchbox, even though they are both made by Mattel, Hotwheels were always the higher quality cars, but Matchbox always made more models based off of production cars.

You could always tell which was which because the Hotwheels had a certain "heft" to them which you would never find in the Matchbox, plus the detail always sucked with the Matchbox.
