Oh yeah, I kinda misread on that. Hehe sorry
@anyways
In most cases, SUVs here sell more when mated with diesel engines (as seen where more than 62% of Hyundai Santa Fe sold here locally are the 2.2 diesel 4x4 model whereas the 2.7 V6 gasoline/petrol version only captures 16%)
There are a few exceptions though here. The RX350 (new one) seems to sell quite well, so does the CX-7 2.5 liter and CX-9 3.7 liter V6. The LX570 sells 2-3 units per month so I guess it's not too bad either. Kinda lot of Mazda Tribute and Ford Escape as well (with 2.3 liter and 3.0 V6 petrol engines).
So in a nutshell, we aren't as dire as let's say in Europe (where diesel cars there are more of a requirement than a recommendation due to stricter emission laws, legislature, CO2 taxation, etc.)

Diesel
32-35 pesos = Diesel fuel with 1% CME Biodiesel blend
Petrol/Gasoline
37-38 pesos = Unleaded fuel (91-93 RON Octane) with 5% Ethanol Blend
38-39 pesos = Unleaded fuel (94-95 RON Octane) with 10% Ethanol Blend
40-42 pesos = Unleaded fuel (96-97 RON Octane) with 5% Ethanol Blend & additives
Of course, this varies between fuel stations but this is the average pricing as of this week.

1 USD = 46.4950 PHP
So yeah you do the mathematical calculations and you basically have an idea of fuel prices here in the Philippines.

Can someone explain to me why Australia and New Zealand pay through the nose for a Japanese vehicle? Seeing they are much closer to Japan then us, it should be cheaper right or does Australia / New Zealand have high taxes on foreign / luxury vehicles?!
