As far as "Liar" ads go, the biggest liar of them all was, of course, Joe Isuzu in those famous ads of the late 80's and early 90's. That was the whole gist of the ads, and his humor.......he deliberately said outrageous and extreme things in the ads that everyone knew were a total joke.

The Lexus round table is too conservative. Expect no response & the same red bow commercials next season.

My guess would be because the hybrid is "old news" while the sport is new for 2010.

Last year, Lexus still ran the ads, but changed them to 'remember what you wanted most when you were young?' / 'now you can buy a gift for yourself' instead of (very) rich people surprising each other with a Lexus gift. The bows have become a sort of tradition, kinda like a chocolatier such as Godiva. IMO Lexus should keep the December to Remember campaign, it's worked very well for them in the past, but they can re-theme the ads to different variations.

Yeah, They should keep the red bow. I know tons of people in my area that purchased just the bow for other gifts/surprises! It is 500 dollars at the dealer.

The bows are back for Lexus December to Remember, but the theme is the memories you'll make through the ownership period of the vehicle...

They are family-focused, friendly ads...it ties in to the Lexus 'make the most of every moment' brand philosophy.

i still prefer the classy lexus commercials. family-oriented and, unlike the bimmer and mb ones where they poke fun at those giant bows, a great experience upon receiving a lovely ride. but the new audi commercials with the "best lights in the neighborhood" is quite unique. the first time i saw that a few weeks back really made me think that their marketing tactic is new, fresh, and original.
