Pretty clean. I dont know much about these cars, can u educate us :)
|
love the styling on the red coupe....looks like a smaller version of the 69 Camaro
|
My best friend's dad had one of these in dark green. Seemed like a nice car.
|
Beautiful machine. Love the color, too.
It was the '70s when Toyota had their best styled cars on the world markets if you ask me. I've always wished that Toyota would be more daring with their recent designs. A modern Celica with a retro-styled body (perhaps based on their 1970s Celica's, some of the most iconic Celica's ever) would be great if you ask me. |
I loved those cars.. The 2 door corolla coupe of the time was nice too.. Most of you were zygotes when these cars were prowling the streets lol..
|
Old Celica's look cool, but make no mistake - it's an old car and they're not that great to drive anymore. Time has really taken a toll. Can you aspire to owning an early 70's Skyline instead? :D

Oh wow,, I loved the old Celica. That pic brought back alot of memories. My next door neighbor used to have one, in blue, and I used to just drool over it everytime he drove it. I think it was first introduction to real time car porn. LOL!

The Toyota 2000gt is a nice classic japanese sports car. Celica is nice too.

Almost bought a late 70's Celica when I was in high-school (late 80's). Was looking for cheap transportation that I could Auto-x and eventually build into a race car.
Ended up with a 78 Ford Fiesta S instead. (did end up building an SCCA ITC car out of it though - surprised a lot of people on the street too ) |
that interior is pretty nice lol

I love the first gen celica, which was sold from 1971 to 1977.
The coupes were sold first, and thru all the years. I prefer the 71-74, and specifically the 71-72 (all red tail lights). The fastbacks (referred to as mustang-style fastbacks) came later, in 75 or 76. Engines: 8RC, 18RC, 20R Trannys: auto, 4 speed manual, 5 speed manual (GT models only, I think) Thats just at the top of my head. |
